Jordan Experience - 10Days
The tour is a combination of natural aspects, plateaus, cultivated extended greens and the magical desert panoramas of the Wadi Rum. From the historical-archaeological point of view, numerous traces of past millena exist: mosques, Byzantine and Christian churches, and the Ommayyad castles of the desert, crossed fortresses, precious Roman and Byzantine mosaics of Madaba and Mt. Nebo, and finally Petra- the amazing city that had its climax of splendor during the reign of the Nabatei.
The tour itinerary is as follows:
Day 1: Queen Alia International Airport to Amman:Upon arrival, transfer to hotel in Amman. Overnight.
Day 2: Amman - Um Qais - Ajloun - Jerash - Amman:Breakfast, depart Amman to visit Um Qais, a city rich with basalt ruins and overlooking the Jordan Valley, Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius (the Sea of Galilee). Continue to visit the village of Ajlun with its fortress and magnificent view into the Jordan Valley. Proceed to visit Jerash; one of the most preserved Greco-Roman cities in the Middle East and return to Amman. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Amman - Desert Castles - Amman city tour: Breakfast. Morning City Tour of Amman to visit the ruins of the Amman amphitheatre, the citadel and the Umayyad Palace. Free time for walking/shopping in the old down town area of the city and transfer to the Desert Castles. Visit Qasr Amra, Al Azraq and Al Kharaneh and transfer back to Amman. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Amman - Madaba - Nebo - Um Rasas - Kerak - Dana: Breakfast. A whole day to explore the King's highway, which was once part of the ancient Silk Road. Transfer to Visit the Christian Town of Madaba "The City of Mosaics. Visit the church with the mosaic map of the Holy Land from Byzantine times. take a detour to visit the Monastery in Mount Nebo, . The Bible reports that Moses climbed up onto Mount Nebo, coming from the plains of Moab. On the mountain, God showed him "all the land" which was promised to his descendants. Transfer to visit Um Al Rassas. Proceed to visit the crusader castle of Kerak via Wadi Al Mujib, a deep valley holding one of Jordan's most breathtaking view. Transfer to the Dana Reserve for overnight.
Day 5: Dana - Shobak - Beida - Petra: Breakfast, hikking tour for 2 hours at the Dana Reserve, Transfer to visit Shobak ,there you can see Shobak Castle; an early 12th-century Crusader castle in barren surroundings. It is perched on the side of a rocky, conical mountain at 1,300m (4,265ft) above sea level, looking out over fruit trees below. Proceed to Beida, also known as little Petra and the place where the Nabateans used to entertain their guests, transfer to Petra for overnight.
Day 6: Petra tour: Breakfast. The visit of the ancient Nabatean Capital starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the Red Rose City. Return to the hotel for overnight.
Day 7: Petra - Wadi Rum (jeep safari tour): Early afternoon transfer south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan's largest desert and one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world. Jeep Tour inside the Wadi until sunset. Enjoy the view while drinking a cup of traditional Bedouin tea and transfer to the campsite inside the desert. Traditional Bedouin dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 8: Wadi Rum - Wadi Araba - Lots Cave - Bethany - Dead Sea: Breakfast, transfer to Wadi Araba, visit the Lots Cave, proceed to visit the Baptism site where John lived and baptized. Continue to the Dead Sea for overnight.
Day 9: Free time at Dead Sea: Breakfast, free time at Dead Sea and overnight.
Day 10: Dead Sea - airport:Breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for departure.

The hotels for accommodation during the tour are Al Waleed Amman hotel (three-star), Dana Guest House (three-star), Petra Guest House (four star), Bait Ali Wadi Rum Camp and Dead Sea Spa Hotel (four-star).
The tour cost is inclusive of:
- accommodation in three or four-star hotels on a bed and breakfast basis
- transfers as per the itinerary in an air conditioned vehicle, with an English speaking driver
- entrance fees to all sites as per itinerary
- optional short horse ride at Petra and services of a local guide for the lower parts of Petra
- services of a local guide in Jerash for two hours
- sunset tour inside the desert of Wadi Rum in a 4x4 vehicle for three hours
- portage at the airport.
The cost of the tour does not include: meals, drinks, International airfare and travel insurance, tips, Individual visa to Jordan (Obtainable upon arrival for most, but not all nationalities - US$30 per person as of January 1st, 2011), personal expenses and anything not mentioned above.
