Jordan-Travel is operated by Jordan Select Tours (JST). JST is a full service inbound tour operator and destination management company that has been in business since 1994. Throughout the years we have handled thousands of satisfied clients to Jordan. We are affiliated to a number of international tourism associations and we pride ourselves in our creativity, the great investment we put into the education of our staff and the fact that our clients regard us as a truly friendly, efficient and helpful organisation.
Because we are local, we know Jordan inside out in a way only a local can, so we can advise you on your itinerary allowing you to make the best use of time during your visit. In addition to hotel bookings, we are experts in producing tailor made itineraries for our clients.

JST currently consist of 16 staff plus a number of freelance guides and drivers who have been hand picked due to their knowledge, courtesy and excellent service.

The company was founded by Seif Saudi in 1994. Rana Bseiso joined the company four years later, where her organizational skills shined. Seif and Rana have since seen their company grow into one of Jordan's most respected and innovative travel companies. Seif sits on the boards of several tourism related associations and societies, he is a conservationist at heart and feels very strongly about the importance of maintaining the amazing diversity of Jordan's nature.

In a country better known for its expansive deserts that are associated with Lawrence of Arabia, we have spent the past few years planting trees in an area in the hilly north of the country, which used to be famous for its thick oak forests since the days of Christ; sadly the original forest had been decimated by loggers and goats.

We have so far planted over two thousand eight hundred trees (and counting). Making sure the trees grow to be self-sustaining in the dry, rocky terrain is no easy task; for the first four years plantation trees need constant watering during the dry season until their roots are strong enough to find their own ground water- making the total investment per tree quite significant.

Conservation is something we believe in deeply- we are happy making Jordan a greener place and it is an excellent way to offset the carbon emissions of our clients. The area that was planted is fenced to save it from abuse, and we have recently initiated programs inside that area for school kids to encourage them to experience nature and to learn to appreciate it so that they can one day conserve it themselves. The results have been inspiring for us to say the least.

Like most Jordanians we are very proud of our country's legacy of peace and tolerance in an area that is better known for its conflicts instead of being celebrated as the birthplace of the three great religions and home to some of the warmest people on earth. Jordan is the quintessential ‘quiet house in a noisy neighbourhood'. Our country is at peace with all of its neighbours, although many of these neighbours may not see eye to eye on various issues.

Jordan is a land of hospitality; virtually all visitors are surprised by the welcome they receive when visiting it. They are treated like old friends everywhere they go. This is the genuine feeling you get in our country and one of which we are immensely proud of as Jordanians.

In July of 2007, Petra was voted as a new 7th wonder of the world. Anyone who has seen Petra can attest that its magnificence is so incredible as to be almost shocking; nothing can prepare you for the first sight of its treasury through the narrow Siq. We're glad it is finally getting the attention it deserves. We hope you'll come to see it too - with us of course!
