Jordan weather forecast
Jordan's weather reflects the wide range of its geographic regions; from the Jordan Rift Valley in the West, which features the lowest point on the surface of earth at 410 meters below sea level, to its mountainous region which runs like a backbone along the country from its north to far south, to its desert plateau, which covers most of the country's area, Jordan's weather is pleasant yet very diverse.
Because of this diversity, it is difficult to accurately describe it. The mountainous region and the north can be best described as Mediterranean, with a very pleasant spring and autumn, a hot summer and relatively rainy winter.
The seaside town of Aqaba on the Red Sea in the south and the Dead Sea region are warm throughout the year and very little rain falls there in winter, yet their summers can be very hot, while the desert in the east and the south is pleasant in the spring and autumn, relatively cold in winter and also very hot during the summer.
Nights are almost always cool throughout the country and pleasant even in mid summer. Even in the hottest months of the year, namely July and August, the temperatures rarely exceed 38 degrees Celsius during the day and hover mostly in the mid thirties. With humidity averaging only 30%, the heat almost never feels uncomfortable.
